The Helena Public Art Committee invites public participation and sponsorships. The City of Helena may accept artwork on behalf of the community for public viewing. This may be done through an individual donation or through a request by the city for the creation of a specific piece of art. If you are interested in donating a piece of art or submit a proposal for a city project please note the criteria listed below and then contact Kathy Macefield for the committee through the City of Helena Community Development office; 316 N. Park Ave., Helena, MT 59601, 406-447-8491, kmacefield@ci.helena.mt.us

HPAC schedules regular meetings on the second Thursday of each month, 3:30 p.m. at the City/County Building. Meeting rooms vary, so please contact Kathy Macefield for specific location. The meetings are open to the public.

Planning for 2008 includes restoration of the Confederate Fountain, further restoration of the Prospectors, and an art piece for a roundabout traffic circle near Helena High School. A chalk art event is planned for July 19th, 2008.
